Bathing under the Sky is a whole-day activity which creates this reconnection.
The activities children can do during pre-bathing preparation are simple and fun and require nothing but imagination; Collecting kindling wood from a wood-land well in advance; creating a valley leading to the steps by using organic material available; decorating the whole site; monitoring and recording temperature-rise; stirring the water during the heating; fishing out insects which fell into the water, try to identify and draw them;.......here you can see the most used activities-sheets we have created for little Bathers under the Sky.
There is no need to stress they will enjoy bathing for hours and hours.The important factor is that they will stay outdoor without reaching for gadgets.
While bathing outdoors in a wood-fired Hot Tub, the basic elements – WATER, AIR, FIRE and WOOD combine to achieve an out-of-the-ordinary - yet very basic, natural experience. It is part of our philosophy that this reconnection with Nature benefits both us and the Planet.
The following is just a brief list of other eco-friendly aspects of Bathing under the Sky:
- Our Hot Tubs and Barrel Saunas are made from Western Red Cedar from a sustainable source, approved by the Canadian Standards Agency.
- No electricity needed for heating and maintenance.
- We use eco-friendly water-treatment and disinfection products based on hydrogen peroxide H2O2 and on Active Oxygen - Ozone.
- Heated by wood. We are recycling used pallets which would otherwise be discarded as waste.
- Maintenance by hand-washing using eco-friendly products. In domestic environment the strong anti-bacterial properties of cedar wood allow to use only natural, tee-tree- and eucalyptus-based disinfection products while maintaining the Tubs.
- Organic Candles used for decoration are made from 100% vegetable wax from a renewable resource.
- Dressing gowns available for hire or buy are made from pure organic cotton.
- We make provision for recycling the water.
We are equipped with pumps & hoses and we can water your garden or top up any empty water butts. If you do not already have these let us know, we can supply.
